At the beginning of summer my AC unit went out on my Toyota Camry. After receiving an outrageous quote from Toyota I begin looking for a less expensive alternative. I called around sveral places and took my vehicle in to 3 other mechanics. After searching on YP.com I notice Aamco and read two reviews. The first one made be extremely nervous, but the second review explain that their must be a new owner. Well the new ownership turned out to be the case and I must say the service was great. From the time I made the first call. The gentlemen who answered the phone was knowledgeable and straight to the point. He never other promised but shared with me quite clear what he was hoping to achieve with my AC repair. In my case it turned out that the price he gave, which was more than $200.00 cheaper than my previously lowest quote, the time it would take all lived up to the original promise. I purposely waited 3 months before writing this review so that I may be able to share the full experience. Well, all that's left to say is that my AC unit has worked wonderfully throughout the summer. Outstanding job by the mechanics at AAMCO
Finally, Conyers has a top notch transmission service center. We bought an auction car and needed a transmission. After 2 local mechanics and seven (7) transmissions later, we took it to Aamco. IF WE HAD KNOWN ABOUT AAMCO TO BEGIN WITH, WE WOULD HAVE SAVED A LOT OF TIME, TROUBLE AND MONEY. The guys there are great, honest and know what they are doing. We just had our one year complementary check up and all is still well. I bet we have the smoothest shifting transmission in the state. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. They did us good. I can't say that about 3 other local transmission shops that I've dealt with. Don't waste your time somewhere else, TAKE IT TO AAMCO
I am a strong proponent of customer service. I have often felt that the idea of simply, plain old good customer service was a thing of the past, until I began communicating with Dane Brown at your Conyers, GA location. When my daughter moved to Conyers, her transmission went out. She took the 2004 Tribute to AAMCO and contacted me. I talked with Dane and he made me feel very secure that the work would be done and allowed me to pay him monthly until it was paid off. I live in Dallas, TX and was very pleased with his outstanding customer service attitude and greatly appreciated his help and follow-up calls. He renewed my faith in customer service and let me know that at AAMCO in Conyers, GA, the customer was appreciated. I applaud his conscientious efforts to provide excellent service to his customer. I had the opportunity to visit my daughter in July and had to stop and personally thank him for his wonderful assistance to my daughter. I will never forget the help he gave and his willingness to serve his customer. Hats off to Dane Brown one of an elite group of servants to the customer.
I recently had a transmission rebuild done at AAMCO in Conyers and was not sure what to expect, but these guys are top notch! I wanted to take my car to my trusted local mechanic but my warranty company insisted I use AAMCO. As I had my vehicle towed to AAMCO, I didn't even meet Dane until I picked my vehicle up but he communicated with me every step of the way and I am convinced my very expensive repair was covered under my warranty because of the way Dane worked with my warranty company. A $3000 repair ended up costing me $160 and my car is running beautifully. Much as I really like and respect my local mechanic, I will take all my vehicles to AAMCO in Conyers for transmission work from now on! The kind of personal integrity and concern that they demonstrate is a rare thing today indeed!
These guys are awesome!!! I came to AAMCO not long after the new ownership took over with a problem with my 2004 Chevy Impala. I had not used anyone locally until this time and I was somewhat nervous. But I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my first experience at AAMCO. They diagnosed the problem, told me what was wrong, and what it was going to take to fix it. The price to fix it was more than fair and they did exactly what they said they would do.
AAMCO Transmissions on Highway 138 - Conyers is GREAT!. The service at the AAMCO Transmissions on highway was phenomenal. As soon as I entered the door at this location, Dane was there to analyze the repairs needed for my vehicle. He was highly knowledgeable about what was needed to get my vehicle running and assured me that everything would be ok. I commend Dane because of his professionalism and the great customer service that he provided each and every time that I have visited this location. My vehicle currently runs as if it is a new vehicle. I am extremely pleased with the service provided this year. I highly recommend this store to anyone that is looking for excellent customer service and professionalism.
Fantastic. Another shop was going to charge me $1400. The manager Dane and the mechanic Dave looked it over and it was simply a small matter of changing out a wire. Charge=$85!!! I will definitely be back with future repairs. And I will tell my friends about the great service I received.
Owning a 2007 Suzuki Forenza, it began developing transmission issues at 95,000 miles or so, and needing the least amount of work done on it was the hopeful plan. After taking it to another shop previously before and asking about the problem they suggested we take it to our local AAMCO shop just around the corner. The business owner stated he was sure they could be better at assessing the problem than they could. Dane was the contact person at AAMCO When we told Dane of the issue and he was very professional in taking care of the problem. He serviced the vehicle with diagnostic equipment and found the problem right away and suggested we bring it in the next day. After the work was completed in one day, driving and not finding the problem was absolutely the best feeling knowing transmission issues can cost! We appreciate the service and the follow up from a professional service; AAMCO of Conyers, truely a leading example of what "CUSTOMER SERVICE" is ALL about
AAMCO went above and beyond what I could ever ask. I have dealt with this company on a couple of occasions within 1-1/2 years. I am NOT a family member and personally do not know anyone that works here. I only know the name of the person calling me about my car. AAMCO (Dean) is upfront and honest from the beginning. Dean handles himself professionally and is easy to talk to. My vehicle was ready when he estimated that it would be. You don't have to call them wondering about your vehicle. AAMCO went the extra mile and fixed things that I did not even ask to be fixed at no charge to me. They care about their customers and it shows. AAMCO is very refreshing to deal with especially in this day and age where it is hard to find a reliable, trustworthy mechanic. I will soon be sending my other car to them for air conditioning service within a week. AAMCO thanks for making my life easier through such a difficult time (car troubles urrrgggghh)
Thank you. I took my Grand Caravan to these guys in September. They warned me they were a little behind schedule but would help me out as soon as they could. I actually ended up making an appointment and took the van back the next day. I had already received a quote in August for another transmission from a company near my mother's house in Decatur. Without knowing it, they beat that quote by several hundred dollars and delivered my car when promised. Maybe its different owners or managers but I had a good experience, considering the circumstances anyway.
These folks did an exceptionally quality job in servicing my transmission They could have quoted me anything or pretended that I needed unnecessary work and I would have not known the difference; but instead they gave me excellent honest service (potentially saving me thousand$). They repaired my car in record time & had it back to me the same day. It runs like new and even though they road tested it themselves, they called the following day to check with me to see how the car was running. EXCELLENT all around & TrustDale Guaranteed!!
As a single female that is not very knowledgeable about mechanical problems, I was very intimidated when the transmission in my Explorer went out. I spoke with a couple of repair shops, but when I found Bobby and Dane at Conyers AAMCO, I knew I could trust them to do the job right and treat me right. I have not been the least bit disappointed. They know their business and give awesome customer service to boot!!
